Bryce Blegen, Esq.


Bryce Blegen is Of Counsel to the firm, providing representation on import, export, supply chain and international commercial and contractual matters. In addition to his Of Counsel role, Mr. Blegen is also CEO of Trusted Trade Alliance LLC, responsible for managing the organization's global activities from its headquarters in Vancouver, Washington, USA. He is also President of Trusted Trade Institute Ltd. and Regional Manager, Americas, for the Centre for Customs & Excise Studies, University of Canberra.

Prior to setting up and heading the American offices of a major provider of global customs and trade software solutions, Mr. Blegen served as Global Customs Counsel and Regional Director of Customs, Europe at Delphi from early 2001. At Delphi, he was in charge of integrating and optimizing customs related activities at Delphi's more than 100 facilities across the European Union, and was chief counsel to the company's business units in the US, Mexico, Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region on legal matters related to import, export and the international supply chain. Before joining Delphi, Mr. Blegen spent a total of 10 years at Robert Bosch, as Senior Counsel in the company's corporate legal department at Bosch's headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany, where he was responsible for corporate global legal policies in the areas of export controls, corporate procurement, IT and logistics, and for commercial and corporate legal matters for Bosch's extensive Japanese, Korean and S. E. Asian manufacturing and sales operations. Prior to that assignment, he founded Bosch's US International Trade department and served as Assistant General Counsel for Bosch's North American operations.

Mr. Blegen is at the forefront of global efforts in customs simplification and trade facilitation, and has worked closely with trade associations and government officials in furthering these initiatives. He is co-chair of the International Policy Committee of the American Association of Exporters and Importers, has been a member of the Legal and Transition/Software Committees of US Customs and Border Protection's Trade Support Network since 2004, and served as co-chair of the 2008 and 2010 World Customs Forums co-organized by the World Customs Organization and the Trusted Trade Alliance in Brussels and Istanbul. He is a frequent speaker on customs and trade topics in the US and Europe.

Mr. Blegen is fluent in German, as well as his native English.
